Having someone reliable hosting your website is very important, there is nothing worse than potential customers trying to view you website just to find it’s “down”. So it is very important that you do your research for the right webhost, search the internet, ask friends where they host their site(s) and if you have someone design your site, ask them for their honest opinion.
Web hosting can be very cheap, but don’t always get misled by low prices, remember, promising the world is easier than giving the world ( I just made that up, but I like it!! )
A good thing thing to do, is once you have decided on a few potential hosts, send them a support email and see what the response time is.. remember, in real life your site might be down, so if it takes hours or days for a reply, just move on to the next one, a response ticket should be answered within an hour. Also, check the hosts web site for “Live Chat” this can be a huge bonus when you need support NOW!!
I have been hosting websites for 8 years now, and I have seen quite a few hosts come and go, and I definately got my education from the “School of Hard Knocks” when it comes to hosting websites.
Believe me, there are a lot of good hosts out there, but there are a lot more bad ones, I personally host my sites at Interactive Online I have found them to be very reliable, affordable, very important, knowledgeable when it comes to solving problems.
